Partnership Announced with Soccer Academy Arnstadt
The Victoria Highlanders are proud to announce a partnership with the German-based Soccer Academy Arnstadt.
Soccer Academy Arnstadt is a newly-established soccer academy in Central Germany with the approach of individually developing young, talented soccer players in Germany, and giving them a platform on the European soccer market. With state-of-the-art training facilities and a spacious boarding school, the players are offered the best possible training conditions to compete with German players in training and competition.
"We are very pleased that a partnership with the Victoria Highlanders has been established. We have been following their work in Canada and have been impressed with the quality of their program. Now Canadian players have another opportunity to make the move to Europe," said Soccer Academy Arnstadt CEO Torsten Traub.
Victoria Highlanders residency players have a goal of playing collegiate or professional soccer. This partnership furthers the worldwide opportunities as the staff look forward to giving players another opportunity to develop internationally.
"The Soccer Academy Arnstadt offers us the opportunity to establish an even closer contact with Germany with an expanded platform for the further development and identification of our players as professional prospects," said VHFC Managing Director Thomas Niendorf.
With exciting talent coming through the Highlanders residency program, Soccer Academy Arnstadt can now serve as a second home for Highlanders players who make the jump to Europe.
Four former Highlanders who have made the journey to the German academy so far include Mahdi Hammoud, Alex Irwin, Stuart Klenner, and Noah Lechelt.
