Dave Dew, head coach of Highlanders FC commences training for the 2015 Pacific Coast Soccer League season this evening, 8:15pm at Lochside Park.

In the past few days, the Highlanders added to their roster with the signing of Andrew Ravenhill, Ryan Ashlee, Cooper Barry and Paddy Nelson.

Defenders Ravenhill (Vikes Graduate) dresses in the Highlanders kit for the 6th consecutive season while Ashlee (4th year StFX) is back for a fourth term. Both players bring a wealth of USL/PDL and CIS experience.

Cooper Barry is a long time stand out in the VISL and a mainstay with Victoria United. Paddy Nelson is a quick goal scorer with a great nose for the net. He played at UVic, Victoria United and is one of the top players in the VISL with 100th Anniversary Jackson Cup Champions, Cowichan.

Additional players signings are expected to be announced over the coming two weeks as the roster takes shape upon completition of BCSA Provincial Cup playdowns.

A reminder, all Highlanders FC home games are being played at Royal Athletic Park. A double bill weekend is less than two weeks away with Highlanders hosting Kamloops Heat, Saturday, May 2 (4pm kick-off); and Abbotsford Magnuson Ford FC, Sunday, May 3 (12pm kick-off).
